in the one essence of God there is a trinity of persons

It is 1:50 PM Wednesday afternoon in the flow of the history of the human race. It is right now cloudy and sunny outside. We have the house closed up and the central air system running. I have not been outside since early this morning, so I do not know if it is hot outside.

I got up this morning around 7 o’clock AM. When I got up I found Carol reading the Holy Bible. She had gotten up this morning around 4 o’clock AM. Right now she is in the kitchen making strawberry jam. So I got up got a glass of cold water and sat in the living room to wake up to another day. I always wake up knowing full well that one day in the Eternal State I will remember sitting in this house seeking to wake up. I am to wake up each day knowing I was created to glorify God the Lord Jesus Christ.

After I woke up I friend two eggs and toasted a piece of bread for breakfast. I warmed up in a microwave link sausage to go along with my morning meal. After breakfast I messed with our main computer and then wrote in my paper diary.

Carol left for a Woman’s Bible Study this morning and now she is home making strawberry jam. I spent the morning reading from these two books, ‘Calvin’s Institutes of the Christian Religion’ Volume 1 and ‘The Life of Samuel Johnson’ by James Boswell.

There is not much else to report presently. Last night I read late into the night, ‘Antkind’ A Novel By Charlie Kaufman.

I suppose I will close to continue reading, ‘The Life of Samuel Johnson’ By Jame Boswell.

he regards Scripture as a mystical map of how to be conformed to Christ

It is 11:18 AM Tuesday late morning. It is a warm gray cloudy day. I am expecting to see sunshine by this afternoon. At least it is not burning hot this morning. Last night it was 80 degrees inside the house and I decided to sleep down in the lower level where it was cooler instead of sleeping in our bedroom which felt like a baker’s oven. Carol is cold blooded so she is never warm. I am always warm. I have hot blood streaming this fat old man’s body. Just call me a hot fatso.

I got up this morning around 6:30 AM. When I came up out of the lower depths I found Carol sitting in her usual place reading her ESV Bible. I noticed she had not made coffee, but had drank coffee made last night. So I made a fresh pot of coffee and then got myself a glass of cold water and sat in my living room chair to slowly wake up to another day. I am going to die.

After I woke up somewhat I messed with our main computer and then wrote in my paper diary. Next I read Calvin’s ‘Institutes of the Christian Religion’ Volume 1. So has gone by existence. Carol is out shopping at some grocery store presently. I decided to write here because I was falling asleep. I have no plans for the rest of the day. I feel like going down into the lower depths and laying in the dark. Carol talked about driving over to Douglas this afternoon. Also visiting the Fennville Public Library to look at their used books.

Last night I basically messed with my books till 11:30 PM. I mainly read last night from a book titled, ‘Dr Johnson & Mr Savage’ biography by Richard Holmes. I will close before I pass out from exhaustion. Before I sat down to write these words I had been reading, ‘Selected Writings’ by Samuel Johnson [Penguin Classics].

swept away like the sacred sand mandala’s of Buddhist monks

It is 3:03 PM Monday afternoon in the death flow. It has been a warm sunny day, not burning hot. When I got up this morning Carol had turned off the air and opened up the house. Carol like the windows open and I like the house closed up. Why let into the house the spirits of the dead?

I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. When I got up Carol was reading her Bible in the living room space. We live in a small house so it impossible for us to hide from one another. I made a fresh pot of coffee and then messed with our main computer. No when I got up I got a glass of cold water and sat in my chair in the living room and closed my eyes. I dozed till 6:30 AM woke up and made a fresh pot of coffee. After making coffee I messed with our main computer and then wrote in my paper diary. After writing in my diary I read some more of John Calvin’s ‘Institutes of the Christian Religion’Vol. 1.

Carol went for a walk around 8 o’clock AM this morning. While she was gone I cleaned the kitchen and ate some food.

Carol and I left the house around 10 o’clock AM to visit thrift stores and pick up an order of black and tan coffee beans. At thrift stores Carol found some used books and I found only one used book worthy enough to add to my book collection, ‘Uncrowned King: The Life Of Prince Albert’ biography by Stanley Weintraub.

When we got home we ate lunch and I wrote some more in my paper diary. Carol went to bed to take a nap and I dozed for awhile. Not much else to report. Existence keeps decaying full speed.

Last night while Carol was at church I made a video for my Youtube channel. When she got home from church a friend of Carol’s stop by after work to catch up (this friend is a nurse that Carol worked with for many years). As Carol and her friend talked I messed with our main computer/I had on stereo headphones so I could focus on what I was listening to on the computer. After Carol’s friend left we watched PBS Mystery. We went to bed around 10:30 PM. So goes our lives which will soon be over.

the unity of the Church

It is 1:15 PM Sunday afternoon in the flow of redemptive history. The Lord is building His Church. It has been raining off and on all day. We needed the rain. Right now it is wet and gray outside. Do not know if we will see the sun today.

I got up this morning around 6 o’clock AM. Carol was still sleeping when I decided to get up. So I got up made a fresh pot of coffee and got myself a glass of cold water. I sat in our dining room drinking cold water and seeking to slowly wake up to another week of Life. After waking up I messed with our main computer and then I wrote in my paper diary. Carol got up around 6:30 AM.

After writing in my paper diary I read for awhile from a book titled, ‘The Path Of Christianity: The First Thousand Years’ By John Anthony McGuckin. Carol and I went downtown this morning to Reader’s World Bookstore. Carol wanted to get a Sunday newspaper and I went with her to look around at the books. At Reader’s World I saw nothing that caught my interest. Carol got her Sunday paper and a children’s book and we drove home. Downtown Holland is only a few minutes from where we live. We like living in town and not out in the country.

Carol left for church around 10 o’clock AM. I dozed will 11:15 AM and when I woke up I wrote in my paper diary and read from a book titled, ‘The First Thousand Years: A Global History Of Christianity’ by Robert Louis Wilken.

The day goes by normal. Carol is reading and I have been wandering my cell. Last night I read late into the night from a novel titled, ‘Antland’ By Charlie Kaufman.

Well there is nothing else to report. It looks like a very quiet week ahead of us. We are still in the midst of raging plague. People are dying and the US Government is in a huge state of chaos. It seems no one in leadership positions in the US Government knows what to do, but sit and their asses and wait for the collapse of the US economy/the end of the American way of life.

the increasing international standard of Logos theology

It is 3:42 PM Saturday late afternoon here in West Michigan. It is a hot day. We have once again have the central air system running to keep the house from exploding with heat. I just got up from a nap. Around 1:30 PM this afternoon I felt exhausted all of sudden so I decided to go down in the lower level and take a nap. I was afraid I might not wake up while I was taking a nap. I am not ready to die.

Carol and I both got up this morning around 6:15 AM. I made a fresh pot of coffee and then got a glass of cold water. I sat in the living room slowly waking up to a Saturday. Tomorrow is a Sunday, we are coming to the end of another month. We are still under the control of a world wide COVID-19 plague. When will we be free from the fear of dying from a plague. Every time I put on my face mask I acknowledge I could get sick and die.

I spent the morning once again reading Calvin’s, ‘Institutes of the Christian Religion’ Volume 1. I also wrote three pages in my paper diary today.

I did not leave the house today. Carol left the house this morning to do errands. Right now she is in her room messing with her books. While she was out today she visited thrift stores and bought ten mystery novels. Carol recently bought three book cases for her room and has already filled them with books and her collection of photo albums.

Last night I mainly read my books and went to bed around 11:10 PM. I mainly read last night from a book titled, ‘Dr Johnson & Mr Savage’ biography by Richard Holmes. This morning after reading Calvin’s ‘Institutes’, I read till 1:30 PM from a book titled, ‘The Path of Christianity: The First Thousand Years’ By John Anthony McGuckin. I plan to read next a novel I recently received in the mail titled, ‘Antkind’ A Novel By Charlie Kaufman. I just remembered I received in the mail today a used book I had ordered titled, ‘Rosenfeld’s Lives: Fame, Oblivion, and the Furies of Writing’ biography by Steven J. Zipperstein. Rosenfeld was a close friend of Saul Bellow’s.

Well, I suppose I will close to drift. There is no way of escape.

the final felicity of man consists only in the contemplation of God

It is 2:16 PM Friday afternoon. It has been thus far a normal day. Not much has gone on today. Just the usual stuff like writing in my paper diary and reading Calvin’s ‘Institutes’. The day just flows by like an old lazy river.

I got up this morning around 5:55 AM. I got up made a fresh pot of coffee and got myself a glass of cold water. I was up before Carol which is unusual. I sat in the living room with my eyes closed morning dreaming. Carol got up around 6:30 AM. I got myself a cup of coffee and then messed with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary. Carol left to go for a morning walk. When she got back from her walk we did yard work before it got too hot to be outside. When we were done working outside it was going on 10:30 AM. I ate breakfast and then left to do errands. On my errands I stopped at two local thrift stores to look at their used books. I found some used books, but nothing wonderful. I found these used books, I had some of these books already in our library.

‘Hundred Days: The End of the Great War’ World War I History By Nick Lloyd

‘Answer to Job’ By Carl Jung Translation By R.F.C. Hull

The two above used books I did not have in our book collection, these used books we had-

‘The Flamingos Smile: Reflections in Natural History’ essays By Stephen Jay Gould

‘Natural History’ A Novel by Maureen Howard

‘Christian Theology: An Introduction’ By Alister E. McGrath

When I got home from running around Carol was getting ready to leave to do errands. It was going on 11:30 AM when she left. I continued reading Calvin’s ‘Institutes’. So has gone by existence. Nothing exciting came in the mail today.

Last night I watched television and read late into the night from a book titled, ‘Dr. Johnson & Mr. Savage’ biography by Richard Holmes.

I will close to drift. Tomorrow is a Saturday. This evening Carol goes down the street and babysits Josie and Cora. Caleb and Emily are going out to celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary.

our very being is nothing but subsistence in the one God

It is 12:50 PM Thursday afternoon here in the Wasteland. It has been a wet humid day. It rained all night and the sun came out late this morning. There is steam coming off the earth. I was outside this morning pulling weeds from my flower garden and noticed how hot it was! Plants love this wet hot weather.

I got up this morning around 6:45 AM. When I got up I found my wife eating yogurt with granola. I got myself tall glass of cold water and sat across from my wife of 41 years to wake up to another day. I love waking up slowly near my wife. I want to be with my wife for all eternity. I never want to be separated from my wife. After I woke up I ate a bowl of cereal and then got a cup of coffee and messed with our main computer for awhile.

After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and then read till Noontime from ‘Calvin: Institutes of Religion’ Volume 1.

There is not much else to report this morning. Carol just left to visit our local library. I received in the mail today a used book I had ordered titled, ‘Dr. Johnson & Mr. Savage’ biography By Richard Holmes. I have been reading lately these two books on Samuel Johnson, ‘Boswell’s Presumptuous Task: The Making Of The Life Of Dr. Johnson’ biography by Adam Sisman and ‘The Club: Johnson, Boswell, and the Friends Who Shaped an Age’ biography by Leo Damrosch.

Last night Carol left around 4 o’clock PM to babysit children of a couple that go to her church. I spent the evening reading from a novel titled, ‘Antkind’ By Charlie Kaufman. Carol got home around 9:30 PM last night from babysitting. We were in bed by 10:30 PM. Now it is another day. Existence keeps decaying full speed!

This evening we are having Caleb, Emily, Josie and Cora over for dinner. We have not seen Emily and the girls for almost two weeks. Emily and the girls were up in northern Michigan for over a week camping with Emily’s clan.

I will close to drift.

the complete accuracy of Scripture

It is 2:35 PM Wednesday afternoon here in West Michigan. It is a hot humid day, so we have the central air system on. I prefer a cool house instead of a hot house. I can’t sleep with a fan on at night, because I am a light sleeper. The least sound during the night keeps me awake. Last night I had to get up during the night to turn off our bedroom fan because it was so loud!

I got up this morning around 6:15 AM. When I got up I found my wife working on her Woman’s Bible Study material. In her Woman’s Bible Study the women are going through a book titled, ‘Even Better Than Eden: Nine Ways the Bible’s Story Changes Everything about Your Story’ By Nancy Guthrie. My wife finished reading last night a novel titled, ‘Rules of Civility’ By Amor Towles.

So I got up had breakfast and then I messed with our main computer. After messing with our main computer I wrote in my paper diary and then I read from a book titled, ‘Calvin: Institutes of the Christian Religion’ Volume 1 Editor: John T. McNeill. Carol left for her Woman’s Bible Study around 9:50 AM. While she was gone I filmed a video for my Youtube channel.

So the day has gone by normal. Right now Carol is taking a nap and I am writing in my online diaries. I have been reading these books this afternoon-‘The Calvin Handbook’ edited by Herman J. Selderhuis and ‘A Theological Guide To Calvin’s Institutes: Essays And Analysis’ Edited By David W. Hall & Peter A. Lillback.

Yesterday early evening Amazon delivered a novel I had ordered titled, ‘Antkind’ A Novel By Charlie Kaufman. I read this novel by Kaufman late into the night. Now it is another day, we are in the middle of the month of July 2020. The COVID-19 plague still rages and the days are hot.

I will close to drift. Tomorrow is a Thursday in the ongoing death flow.

one must resist the beginning of sin

It is 12:53 PM Tuesday afternoon the flow of decay. Is the cosmos expanding or decaying? How can the creation expand?

I am tired as usual. It has been a long day it seems to me this afternoon. Since Carol’s retirement the days get longer and longer. I got up this morning around 5:45 AM. I was early today because I went to bed early last night. I might take a nap this afternoon.

Carol was gone all morning doing errands. While she was gone I wandered my cell and read from a book titled, ‘Joshua, Judges, Ruth” Old Testament IV Reformation Commentary On Scripture Edited By N. Scott Amos. In this commentary I am read the part on The Book of Joshua/Old Testament.

Carol is now home from her running around. I expect her to take a nap this afternoon. Why stay awake?

Last night was last night. I sat around the house and went to bed early. I tried to read some more of the novel, ‘The Origin Of The Brunists’ By Robert Coover.

Well, there is not much else to report so I will close to drift.
